I can’t remember a time as an animal physician that I wasn’t trying to help folks understand about their animals’ condition. I’ve always hoped that explaining in non-doctor terms the basic anatomy and physiology of the condition might help to support healing, help them engage more, have less fear, with the hopes of a better outcome.
What are Mini Course Wild Bites:
I’ve created these Mini Course Wild Bites to help you discover that your key to supporting the health and vitality of your animals is through knowledge. I’m convinced these understandings will strengthen your resolve, fortify your mindset and alter the course of reality towards a vital, long-lived animal family.
I call them the Wild Bites because they are short bites (well, up to 1hour long). They are wild because I reflect back onto the wild health your animals once held much like their wild ancestors. The Wild Bites remind us how we can support their natural state of wild health even if they are quite different from their ancestors now.
What I’ve covered in past Mini Courses are topics you most requested, and those I feel are without a doubt the most important for every animal guardian.
Topics included in 2016:
- Homeopathy for Emergencies:
a three part series, with handouts, on using Homeopathic medicines for everyday situations such as accidents, surgery, urinary conditions and many more.
- Feeding Fresh Food for Dogs and Cats:
a three part series, with handouts, on feeding fresh foods; understanding the ‘nature’ of foods; how to use foods as medicine in treatment of some disease conditions and for the support of vital health.
- Going Holistic:
clarifying the difference of holistic, complementary, allopathy and what is required to think holistically, including not just body, mind and soul but the environment locally and globally.
- Flush Those Toxins Goodbye:
animals are at far greater risk of toxic exposure, how to avoid the exposure, the basics of how the body detoxifies, and how you can help them do this.
And what I’m going to cover in 2017 will include:
- Vaccinations: The Good, The Bad and The Insane
- Why Cats are NOT little Dogs: from food to behavior.
- Safe and Natural Ways for a Parasite Free Animal.
- When to Spay or Neuter for the Benefit of Your Animal First.
- Elder Care: foods, supplements, exercise, to keep your elder dog/cat around and active for years and years.
- Puppy and Kitty Starters – Are We Talking Appetizers? How to lay down the foundation for a long, long healthy life.
- And much more…
What do you get from all of this education?
The short answer? You’ll consume practical knowledge you can use to create vibrant health for your animals. It’s just that simple.
And the long answer? You’ll have access to what I’ve learned about 36 years as a veterinarian, almost all of that as a holistic vet. Through these years I’ve discovered that all health goes back to covering the basics: clean food and environment (a toxin free life); plenty of exercise; and ample emotional/mental stimulation.

The physician’s oath of First Do No Harm is something I take quite seriously. My intention is to first do no harm when I am treating animals. The on-line format has been my way of getting more info out to you and others in the four corners of the world, anytime, day or night. My intention with these Mini Courses is to share information so you can avoid inadvertently harming your animals. I know decisions about food, vaccines, laboratory testing, parasites, etc., weigh heavy on your mind. Knowledge is power. The Mini Course Wild Bites will provide a holistic viewpoint to help you make informed choices.
Who are the Mini Courses for?
For anyone wanting to learn how to help their animals thrive!
Specifically, I’m here to help those who are already taking great care of themselves and want to learn how to do the same for the furry ones.
I’m here for those who aren’t taking care of themselves or their furry ones very well, but have a big desire to learn a nature-based way of thinking about health, food, medicine, the world and their personal ecosystem.
